Over the years, so many of our clients have started off in the same place -- the farmers market. There, they're able to prove their concept and find their sea legs, learning the ropes of business before going on to retail stores or brick & mortar shops of their very own.

We love the market, and every season we enjoy getting to know the fresh batch of businesses on the scene as we spend our Saturdays (and Tuesdays) putting our money where our mouths are and supporting the local food system and local economy.

It's because of this that we decided to do something special this year. We're sponsoring at table at the Birdhouse Farmers Market! This is truly a locavore's market, with a great line-up of vendors and a strictly enforced producer-only policy that keeps things legit. This isn't the place for donuts and crafts. This is where real-deal chefs and home cooks go to gather peak seasonal produce while enjoying a pastry or a popsicle and dropping off a week's worth of compost.

Our love for the market inspired us to support it by becoming a 'vendor,' but there's not much to sell when you're a marketing consultant for food businesses, and then the lightbulb went off: Let's open up our table to our clients and let them do what they do best. So, that's just what we're doing!

On the fourth Tuesday of every month from May to October, you can find The Apple Cart table and a different Apple Cart client at the Birdhouse Market. We're kicking things off with PastryBase on May 22nd. And check out who else we've got in store for the season:
